Menswear Shopping Favorites in Palm Springs

If your idea of the perfect getaway includes a little retail therapy, you’re in luck! Palm Springs is a great place to shop for menswear, and some of the city’s best clothing boutiques are located within walking distance of Descanso Resort (or just minutes away by car). Whether you’re looking to score a breezy linen shirt, vintage designer duds, or a flirty pair of short shorts, these are our favorite places to shop for men’s clothes in Palm Springs.

Towne Palm Springs
1345 N Palm Canyon Drive

Located inside The Shops at 1345 in a reimagined E. Stewart Williams modernist office building, Towne Palm Springs is a quick 5-minute walk from Descanso. Towne carries a top-notch selection of classic swim shorts, soft terry shirts, lightweight linen jackets, tempting fragrances, and a few enticing vintage items thrown in for good measure. LGBTQ-owned and operated.

Seaplane
1009 N Palm Canyon Drive

Walk a few minutes further towards downtown and you’ll come across Seaplane. Based in Palm Springs, Seaplane’s festive shirts are sewn in small batches in the USA from hand-picked fabric remnants. Some prints are made into as few as a dozen pieces, and each piece carries its name and unique serial number in a digitally printed tag. LGBTQ-owned and operated.

Mr. Turk
891 N Palm Canyon Drive

Continue walking another block, crossing El Alameda, and you can’t miss Mr. Turk and the flagship Trina Turk boutique. Housed in a glass-walled building designed by Albert Frey, the vibe at Mr. Turk is all about celebrating California’s swimming pool and cocktail culture in style. This is the place to find vividly patterned pants and blazers, textured knit polos, sunny cropped trousers, and swimwear in vintage-inspired prints for those bougie times when you want to feel like you just stepped out of a Slim Aaron’s photograph.

Wil Stiles
875 N Palm Canyon Drive

Right next to Mr. Turk, this midcentury mod-influenced boutique features art, sunglasses, bicycles, and a chic selection of clothing for men and women. The star of the show is Wil & Molly’s in-house line of colorful and smartly tailored short-sleeved shirts for men, designed in Palm Springs and produced in limited quantities in Istanbul.

Inside this unassuming two-story shop you’ll find top-notch customer service, plus Palm Spring’s best selection of sportswear, activewear, shoes, and accessories. Brands include Ben Sherman, Scotch & Soda, Penguin, Quicksilver, and Speedo. A local favorite since 1982. LGBTQ-owned & operated.

Here you’ll find casually elegant French linen shirts and shorts, preppy chinos, and buttery soft nubuck driving mocs, all available in a dreamy rainbow of colors and imported from Saint-Tropez. Design aficionados will love the Pantone Colour Swatch shirts.
